"It's all about the music!!
Christian music rose to new popularity and marketability in the early 1970's. Much has happened since then...From tiny FM stations in the middle of the night, to a major force in the music industry, contemporary christian music continues to changes lives, while bringing people closer to God. While many of the pioneers of christian music are still recording, writing and touring; they are not getting much airplay on the radio. Record companies are turning their focus to newer talent.
"In the Beginning..." is a radio program dedicated to making a whole new generation of fans for these pioneers.

Lisa is a “die-hard” Contemporary Christian music fan since the early 1970’s. When out of high school, she entered college as a 17 year old music major, and within 2 weeks she met the man she would eventually be married to. A serious case of pneumonia changed her plans to continue to aspire to be a professional vocalist, and after much prayer and consideration, she changed her major to science and nursing and graduated in May of 1986 from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas/Denton, Texas.
After telling herself that she would never work as an R.N. at Parkland, the Dallas County Hospital, God managed to keep her there for 12 years! The things she experienced there make up a large part of who she is today.
After her two children, Samuel and Rachel were born, her priorities changed back to her first love, music. Changing careers, she started a production company called LJM Media Productions and began her first radio program, “HEALTH VIEWS” which aired on Friday mornings in the Dallas /Ft.Worth Market. When the station was going to change formats, she began working for two small stations in Dallas called KHYI and KXEZ. She produced and hosted the public affairs program, “The Sunday Edition” for both stations. She also started her current project, “In The Beginning…”
As the project moves to a 100,000 watt station, it is her desire that the program will bring back the heart and soul of Contemporary Christian music, and it’s pioneers- for the purpose of bringing Glory and Honor to God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
